Part 2 - OpenStreetMap - open source mapping option for Joomla

Has Google Maps stopped working on your site? It might be that the way it's added now requires a Google API registration (which is no longer free). How do you get a Google API key if you want to keep what you have? What other alternatives are available?

Speaker Rhonda Hutchison of TechnoGizmo will explain embedding options for Google Maps, and Bruce Moore will talk via live stream about the options for using Open Street Maps.

Meetup February 13, 2017

There were 6 Attendees at this meeting.  Our next meeting is March 13, 2017.

Below is a brief summary of this meeting:

Part 1: Creating a Joomla! website for beginners

Introduced new Joomla! user to the group and gave her a small tour of the admin user panel.

Part 2: Allocated updates to the Joomla! Dallas group website

As a group we went through the website and came up with a "to do" list of updates for the content of the website.  We allocated the list among ourselves and started on the work.  Bruce created a "member only" login, and Wilma will post the list in an article for registered users.

Part 3: Asked/Answered questions
